BONUS CONTEST
It’s with great pleasure that I present to you “Holiday” by Ottawa 3-piece band the “Cold City Kings”. This sweet little ditty is part of an 8 song album called “A Letter From Home” that I recently had the honour of mixing. I just love this album. Guitarist Connor Fleming produced the entire record in his tiny 9-11 foot studio using an SM 57, AT 4040, Sm7b, and Scarlett interface…no acoustic treatment, no prior recording experience, no midi, ALL PASSION. I’m so impressed with what these guys were able to accomplish, and I really think this album should be an inspiration to anyone who has aspirations of recording their own material – it can be done….and it can be GREAT. I hope you enjoy mixing this as much as I did!
