IMO the popular vote got it right this time around. My choices were the same as the actual results. Michaeltn86 WOW!!! That is possibly the best mix I’ve heard here at T-M. That is a bang up job man, I think you nailed this one! I found RJR’s mix very close to the top mix. I had to go back and forth a lot to decide and I can’t even quite articulate why I slightly preferred Michael’s….but wow, this was another superb mix! Mixing_Bay congrats on making the podium for (I think) the first time…really strong mix!

MIX CONTEST # 2
Pop country coming at ya! This is a really neat song with some unexpected chord changes and it should be a lot of fun to mix! BUT, it does have one big challenge…a super harsh lead vocal! Bailey James is clearly a great singer, but the capture on her voice contains some really harsh midrange frequencies that will definitely test your harshness control skills. There are also some tuning artifacts baked in, but luckily in the context of the full song you don’t hear them much at all. I hope you all enjoy brining these tracks to life!
