MIX CONTEST # 1

We have a really fun Eagles cover for you this month – only it DOESN’T sound like the Eagles anymore!  A few months ago I came across a music listing requesting “reimagined covers of the song Peaceful easy feeling” for an ad campaign for some boutique company.  My writing partner, Andrew Johnston, and I decided to throw our hat into the ring.  Aaaaaaaand?… we didn’t get the gig, DAMN!  Oh well, we had a blast making this cover and will certainly find a home for it some day.  We also plan on releasing it soon.  We leaned hard into a big 80s sound and even got a wailing sexy sax solo done 😉  We also hired a really cool session singer on Soundbetter named James Franklin who delivered a really compelling vocal; however, it wasn’t a particularly easy vocal to mix as the tone varies wildly from section to section.   Hope you all dig mixing this production!
