OLD SCHOOL COUNTRY BALLAD

About 15 years ago, I wrote this old school cowboy ditty called “Thoughts Of You”. I’d never written anything like it (nor have I since) and I honestly can’t remember what possessed me to do so. Saloon love songs really aren’t my thing – honestly they aren’t!!!

Ten years later, I joined a website called “TAXI”, which is geared towards getting songwriters placements in film and television….and guess what?…one placement post described my song PERFECTLY! I was so excited. I thought FOR SURE I HAD THE SONG!

The only problem was I didn’t have a recording of it, and I certainly wasn’t able to sing or produce it myself! So I took a leap of faith…I banged out a terrible demo of the song in my home studio and sent this demo to a professional studio in Nashville. Within 24 hours I had an amazing recording sent back to me, which I promptly sent to TAXI with only hours to spare before the submission deadline!

Aaaannnnd?….I wasn’t selected – lol…BUT, I was left with this charming, live off the floor version of my one and only vintage country song…and now it’s yours to mix 🙂
