PRODUCER’S/HOUSE PICK
So cool to hear all these mixes! Listening to fresh takes of a song that I spent a lot of time listing to a year ago is just so interesting. I was torn between Guillaume and RJR this month, and in the end I basically had to flip a coin. Both mixes had a nice shine on them and felt really good to me! I think JTC had the best band mix but I found the vocals just a tad to dark/thick. Super close as always and VERY hard to decide!

MIX CONTEST # 2
A year or two ago I had the pleasure of producing a 5 song EP for a local band called “Delicately off balance“. The husband and wife duo had never done any serious recording prior to this EP and I had a blast helping them bring their songs to life. This band “makes music with issues” to quote their website. Laura (who writes the songs) puts a lot of focus on mental health awareness and personal discovery, a message which is becoming increasingly necessary in todays world. Bottom line, they are wonderful people who love making music and spreading positive vibes. I hope you enjoy mixing “Come Around”!
