IMO, one of the hardest songs to mix in recent months, but you guys did great.  My choices were….

Super solid mix from RJR!  One of the highlights for me was the snare which just seemed to sit perfectly!  Nothing really bugged me in this mix…it just kind of sailed along and all made sense to me.  Balance, tone, energy, FX were all dialled in nicely.  Great work!

This could have been my first choice too….great mix!  I wasn’t too keen on the lead vocal saturation, and this is probably what led to me choosing JTC 2nd and not first.  Basically another top notch job here!  Not much else to say!

In most ways this was an equal mix to my top two choices.  It came down to the fact that the snare sample in this mix was just too unnatural sounding to my ear.  Too big, too loud, just too obviously a sample.  The rest was SUPER nice!  Amazing work!

Here we go with another ballad from T-M member Eric Corriveau!  This kind of song really tests our skills as mixers.  Slow, quiet beginnings that slowly morph into a big ballad outro – not an easy beast to tame!  I think it’s a really important kind of song to mix as it requires you to keep a keen eye on the song as a whole.  Get ready to dig in and make some magic!
