MAIN CONTEST

This month, we have an AMAZING pop production from Tourna-mix member Michael Leto.  “Ghosts and Zombies” was released a while back under the band name “Petty Party”, as a part of a college graduation project.  I was so thrilled when I heard this tune, and absolutely loved mixing it!  I’m sure I speak on behalf of all of us when I say, “Thanks Michael!”  The arrangement is SO dialled in, that at times I personally felt it was almost like “mix by numbers” LOL.  Whether you record in a pro studio or a dorm room, the power of a great song, great arrangement, and great vocal (courtesy of Bruna Victoria) will always stand out.  Enjoy!

“Hey guys, I’m super excited to see what y’all do with this recording!  “Ghosts and Zombies” is the definition of bedroom pop…it was written, recorded, and mixed in a college dorm room, as was the rest of the album it’s off of, much to the annoyment of my 4 roommates.  I made some production choices during the mix, which you’ll all be able to hear if you compare the final mix to the stems, and I hope that you guys feel the liberty to make production choices like that as well!  This’ll be great; I’m super excited!”
